The PM YASASVI Central Sector Scheme of Top Class Education in College is an initiative by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, to provide financial support to meritorious students belonging to OBC, EBC and DNT categories for pursuing higher education in India’s top colleges.
Objectives:
- To enable OBC, EBC and DNT students to access quality higher education in India’s premier colleges.
- To reduce the financial burden on meritorious students from these communities.
- To promote social inclusion and equity in the higher education sector.
Eligibility:
- Students belonging to OBC, EBC and DNT communities.
- Annual family income from all sources up to Rs. 8 lakh.
- Secured admission to a UG program in one of the notified top colleges through the prescribed admission process.
Benefits:

- Full tuition fee and non-refundable charges (up to a ceiling of Rs. 2 lakh per annum for private institutions and Rs. 3.72 lakh per annum for private sector flying clubs for Commercial Pilot Training and Type Rating Courses).

- Living expenses (@ Rs. 3000/- per month per student).
- Books and stationery (@ Rs. 5000/- per annum per student).
- One laptop with accessories like UPS and printer (limited to Rs. 45000/- per student).
Selection Process:
- Merit-based selection through a centralized online portal.
- Students who have secured admission to one of the notified top colleges will be eligible to apply.
How to Apply:
- Applications are invited through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
- The application process usually opens in June/July each year.
