- Hostel charges: Up to ₹3,000 per month for single room and ₹2,000 per month for shared room.
- Books and stationery charges: Up to ₹1,000 per year.
- Study tour charges: Up to ₹1,600 per year for professional and technical courses.
How to Apply:
- Applications are submitted online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) .
- The application period usually opens in August/September and closes in Feb 2024 each year.
- Eligible students need to register on the NSP and fill out the application form with the required documents.
Selection Process:
- Applications are shortlisted based on eligibility criteria and merit.
- Selected students are then verified by the state nodal agencies.
- The final list of awardees is prepared and released by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
