Merit Scholarship Scheme for Class 10 and 12 Students, Manipur 2023 is an opportunity that is being offered by the Department of Education, Government of Manipur to financially help Class 10 and 12 passed students of the state. The aim of this scheme is to promote education at the higher secondary level and encourage the academic and professional growth of the students. The selected candidates will receive a scholarship award of up to ₹12,000 per annum.
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- be a domicile of Manipur
- have passed Class 10 from the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) and Class 12 from the Council of Higher Secondary Examination (CHSE), Manipur
The following candidates are ineligible to apply for the scholarship scheme:
- Students who are receiving any other scholarship/stipend.
- Students who are working as full-time employees.
- Students who have not passed the examination in the year prior to the award of the scholarship.
The candidates will receive the benefits in the following manner:

| Class 10 | ₹6,000 |
| Class 12 | ₹12,000 |
Note:-
- The first 300 selected candidates who have passed Class 10 will receive an annual scholarship for a period of 2 years.
- The first 125 students of Science, 125 students of Social Science, and 50 students of Commerce will receive an annual scholarship for a period of 3 years.
- Aadhaar card
- Domicile certificate
- Bank statement
- Marksheet of the last passed examination
- Entitlement Card and Statement of Particulars filled by the Head of the Institution.
Eligible students can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: Click on the ‘Apply Now’ link below.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Register’ button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to ‘Applicant Corner’ and click on ‘New Registration’ tab.
Step 4: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox and click on the ‘Continue’ button.
Step 5: Select the respective Aadhaar option, enter mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit.
Step 6: Fill in the required details and click on ‘Save & Register’ to complete the registration process.
Step 7: Now click on the ‘Fresh Application’ tab and log in using the application ID and password.
Step 8: Fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents and submit the application.
Note – All the applicants are advised to fill the form correctly, no changes can be made once submitted. The applicants are also advised to fill in only one application as multiple applications will cancel the form.
